The same thing happened to me. I had to replace the entire shifter lever
assembly as the button can't be purchased separately.

Here's a weird one that just happened today and I could sure use some help
with. I'm driving along, when the little plastic button on the left side of
the
shifter all of a sudden comes flying across right in front of me! I had to
put it back in to get it shifted back into Park when I got home. It looks
like
the plastic at the far end (the part deepest inside the shifter) has
probably
busted because now it doesn't catch and just springs back out.

I used a wide rubberband over it, taped down with duct tape <GRIN>, to hold
it in tension against its internal spring so I can keep driving and it won't
go
zooming off. But, how do I fix this thing and what parts should I be
looking
for?

Cheers,
