As I mentioned in a previous email, the only permanent fix that I know of is
to replace the shift knob assembly. That's what I had to do to repair mine.

OK, with all of these temporary fixes mentioned, is there a PERMANENT FIX

the ATX button problem?? Is this an item you can get at the dealer, or from
