What was wrong with my "fix", just don't lose the button.

OK, with all of these temporary fixes mentioned, is there a PERMANENT FIX
for the ATX button problem?? Is this an item you can get at the dealer, or
from a junk yard (that does not have SHO's)??

Rick: "My '94 ATX was like that for years, I just got used to carefully
placing that little black button beside the shifter (on the indicator)
once the
car was in gear and just picked it up and put it back in there when I
needed to
shift.... That's a great theft deterrent....I could park that SHO
anywhere,
anytime, and leave it running with windows down, without that little
button,
    that car ain't going nowhere."

Gee, in that case maybe I better get out my Dremel tool and mill one from
    billet, do it right!
