I covered a NASCAR Craftsman truck race at IRP a couple
years ago for a truck magazine. Had an "ALL ACCESS" pass
that allowed me anywhere. I got on the back straight of the
little IRP oval during practice and stood about 15 feet from
the barrier at turn 3 as the trucks came straight at me.
Not sure what top speed on that little oval is for the
trucks...120? 130? It was sure about the most exciting
place (when not IN a car) I had been in a long time.

Right up there with renting a "k-car" and driving all around
the infield of Mosport many years ago and visiting every
spot you can get to during a practice session for sports
cars, not sure what series, but equivalent to the
Lemans/Sebring cars today.
