Jason,
The short answer is the SHO SHop has had some "customer
relation" problems for some years. More than some other SHO
specific shops, but all of them have unhappy customers at
some point.
Now just a bit more explanation:
The majority of SHO Shop customers are happy though, and
most of the products/services they put out are just fine.
Some people have an unhealthy hate associated with the SHO
Shop though, and take every chance to show it. Alerting
people to a possible problem is one thing, slandering is
another.
I have been around the SHO Group since virtually day one. I
know and respect Vadim (owner of the SHO Shop)for the nice
guy he is. When everyone was clamoring for
something...ANYTHING to mod their SHO, Vadim was there with
some good stuff, and for a while he was the only game in the
country. Then others opened shops and they were also good
for the most part, the vast majority of SHO vendors do a
great job. For owners of an orphan car, with fairly low
production, we are lucky to have the places we do, to get
work done or buy parts.
As the number of SHO's on the road naturally falls, these
shops have to turn their attentions to another source of
customers. Some people have taken the stand that the SHO
Shop is somehow disloyal if they start servicing other types
of cars, but ALL the shops work on other stuff. If they
didn't they would be bad business people! You have to go
after an expanding market rather than a declining one.
Maybe not super short, but a shorter answer than many
probably expected, at least from me! :)
