Noah,

I don't remember from other conversations in the past, but 
have you ever autocrossed?  For what it costs to rent just a 
few video games ($15 to $25 for most clubs) you can get 
several runs on a course that is a blast.

Speeds are below 55 to 60 mph generally.  A typical course 
will take you from 30 seconds to a minute to complete and 
can leave you breathing hard and pumping adrenaline.

If you haven't done this, you should find an SCCA club in 
your area (search the internet) and go.  You can autocross 
virtually ANY car that is legal and safe.  All you need is a 
helmet, and most clubs will even provide a loaner if necessary.

Just get out and do it man!
