With gas prices and all...
Coming back from NC to MT, I used the mid grade
because, honestly, I didn't have the money to buy
premium. Going to NC in Jan., I used premium, and got
anywhere between 28-31 mpg. Coming back, on the mid
range stuff, got about 27-29ish. I guess it really
wasn't all that big of a loss. Could be because the
car has a little more miles on it, the tires a little
more used, etc.
And I've used just regular synthetic since the day I
bought my '91. Have heard good and bad things with the
max-life oils, but some like 'em on the list. I just
haven't made the change from synthetic to dino yet,
and still debating whether or not I want to.
