If you recently had the hood off and just installed it, you might be having
a adjustment problem.  I have seen many times that a hood just put back on
wont fully latch closed if not adjusted correctly.  You need to look real
close at the gaps all the way around and make sure it is sitting square.  Of
course, if you are not just installing it, this probably wont apply to you.

The hood on my 93 will not latch fully.  Of course it catches on the
secondary latch (the one that you release by pushing on the yellow handle).
But no matter how hard I close the hood, the main latch (the one that you
release from the driver seat, via cable) does not engage.

I have confirmed that the release cable operates properly.  Should I just
put in a new latch?
