Thanks Kirk. Thankfully I do already have a spare X2J on hand. I
procured it when I was still running the LPM, and wanting to swap from
what I think is a Motorola based PCM to an Intel one. I ended up getting
my 80mm calibrated and forgetting the LPM altogether, but now all this
SPOUT crap is forcing my hand.

I remember a post a long while back about pushing a long extension
through the PCM and hammering the connector off. I think I'm going to
try and cut the head off the bolt and go at it from the other direction.
I really hope I don't screw up the 60 pin plug. I didn't do any
wrenching yesterday to think it over some more, but am going to bite the
bullet and lay the smack down on it today. I figure if someone has to go
barbaric to get the thing apart, I'd rather that someone be me than
anyone else. Wish me luck!

You don't.. the nut has broken loose your kind of F-ed.. you will be
able to
pry it apart but the nut in the PCM is now Junk. Essentially the PCM
is
trash now.. so if its still holding don't mess with it until you get a
replacement PCM.

This just happened to my LOS in my 91 that I just built up.. but my
NUT
(shuddup sickos) came out of the pcm.. Luckily I had a what is it X2J
laying
around. Ill look to see if I have any more, but I would leave yours
alone
until you have a replacement on hand

How do you separate a stuck one? The bolt spins but the plug won't
release from the computer. I want to clean it, and swap computers
while
I'm at it. Is this little bolt all that holds it together? Should I
shave the head off, hoping to not screw up the harness or attack from
the inside?
