Yeah.....that's a way to do it too, but then it takes longer than 20 minutes in and
out, because you have to crank those big bolts out, then in.   ;-)
I haven't looked closely at the suspension on a Gen 3.  Are the struts different? 
Is the layout of the tension strut different?  Are there Tokikos for Gen 3's?
