  My SHO is Dead

I got into a car accident last night and I am happy that no one was
injured. My SHO was hit on the side and there was major damage to the
side of the car. The insurance company has the value of the SHO at
about $2k and the repairs at $5.6k so they want to total it out. I
would like to have it fixed and keep it going but at 11 years and 150K
miles it may be time to pass on to a new or newer vehicle. I kept the
car in really great shape with services at the SHO shop, new paint,
front seats, and recently starter and alternator.
Do I have to take the total price from the insurance? Am I better off
parting it out or sending it to the great junkyard in Nebraska?

I will look for replacement suggestions later, for now what do I do
with a damaged SHO which I would really like to keep driving.
