[Shotimes] A Few Odd Ideas...

After looking into the general components that makes a SHO a SHO, I have
been pondering over a couple ideas and am curious to know if I am alone in
this thinking.

A friend of mine owns a 3.8L T-bird and he and I previously installed a K&N
FIPK Cone Filter Kit onto it, after some thought I and finding that K&N does
not make such a kit for the SHO I now wonder if the T-bird and SHO setups
are nearly the same to be able to use the kit for the T-bird on the
SHO/Taurus with little modification to the kit.

I also have found myself dwelling on the idea of a RWD SHO; if memory serves
the rear end assembly on the T-bird is in many respects similar to the
independent rear suspension of the SHO, along with the struts and other
running hardware being of nearly the same design. The front suspension and
steering is much alike between the two cars. I have seen misc. projects on
the net converting other cars to use the SHO engine, and even how to mate a
SHO engine to a Mustang 5 speed Transmission. The only major obstacle I
could see would be the necessity for a larger transmission hump on the
floor.

Just thought I would see if you all had any input.

I have done no real brainstorming on these ideas, and have not directly
looked for compatibility or taken measurements on anything, it just seems
from memory that it wouldn't be all that hard to do.
