[Shotimes] A Few Odd Ideas...

If you really want to mate a SHO engine to a RWD gearbox, get the WC T5 from
an 84-89 Nissan 300zx Turbo (not the normally aspirated model, turbo only).
An adapter can be easily fabricated to mate the gearbox and engine. Next,
use the PP from a SHO and the TOB and clutch disk from the 300zx turbo. The
turbo gearbox uses a hydraulic actuator for the clutch, not the cable setup.
So you would need to fab this up or you could rig up the cable.
The gear ratios in the 300zx turbo gearbox are optimal for the SHO engine,
and would work great with either a 3.55, 3.73 or 4.10 rear gear. The Mustang
GT ratios are not the greatest for the SHO powerband, plus 5th gear would be
nearly useless, except for highway driving. To compare the ratios: Mustang
GT - 3.35, 1.93, 1.29, 1.00, 0.68; 300zx turbo - 3.35, 2.06, 1.38, 1.00,
0.78. If you do decide to use the GT gearbox, 3.73, 4.10 or 4.56 rear gears
would be needed.
