Only problem that might rear its head is that he used Loctite 640 what used
to be known as Stud and Bearing Mount. It is made for repairs that are
either permanent or places where extreme heat can be applied to separate the
pieces. I pity the person that has to remove it!

George: "Mine had .0015 of wear all around, because it had run so long
with
the loose damper, and I had to fill it in with shims that size, available
in
a pocket feeler gauge set, and
locktite for gears to keep everything tight."

You're saying that you took .0015 feeler gage leaves and wrapped 'em around

the circumference of the crank snout? And loctited the whole sandwich
together? Pretty cool fix, that.
