[Shotimes] my 92 SHO still hesitates off idle - HELP!

Have you tried cleaning or replacing the IAB valve?
My Ford 80mm (calibrated by Pro-Flo) never generated a code. 122 (TPS)
and 157 (MAF) are both reporting "below minimum voltage", could it be
the sensors are fine and the harness is the culprit?
My 92 had a never-fixed vacuum leak that affected the vents and cruise
control, IIRC the reading at idle was also 17-ish.
Good luck,
Justin

hi all,
haven't been here for a while.
ran the codes - 122 and 157. maf is pro m 80mm. they
always throw this code. tried a stock maf. still
stutters.
code 157. tps. tried one from a working SHO. no luck.
BUT, just to be sure. my friend measured the voltage
on the connector. 5 volts. right b/t the allowed 4-6
volt range. .9 volts with the TB closed. right where
it should be. totally linear when opening the TB. no
dips.
could it be the "spinny thingy" on the throttle body
itself which the tps connects to? like my lingo? ;-)
just in case it was the cam sensor. started the car
and disconnected it. still stumbles. put and new
vaccum hose to the throttle body. the original one
was trashed. no luck. measured 17 psi on the intake.
normal seems to be 20 psi, right?
looked for obvious vacuum leaks. don't think we
checked the hose a baysho member was talking about. "a
little hose behind the intake manifold (right behind
the ford emblem) between the intake manifold and the
firewall."
is that egr related? if so, i don't have egr.
so, what's left? seems to be getting worse. once the
car is above 3k it's still take off like a rocket.
to recap - changed the coil pack, DIS, new plugs, my
old wires from last 60k (all i had), tried stock maf,
tried another tps, changed vacuum line to TB,
disconnected cam sensor (temporarily).
truth be told, i'm using bosch gapable platinum plugs.
not the best for the SHO, BUT i had another set on the
car for 30k. worked fine, dynoed 211 to the front
wheels with them. the plugs did look a little on the
lean side. i know the pro flow maf runs lean. i will
fix that with an lpm on the dyno, but first i'd like
to get the car running smooth again.
see ya,
Robby
