Don't get me started on the National Anthem.  Every
race day I cringe as some music star decides to
butcher the anthem in the name of individuality.  I
know they can sing, they do not have to impress me
with their artist license by modifying the anthem to
outdo the last guy who sang it.  The National Anthem
is a symbol just like the flag, as such it should be
treated with respect.  The Flag has 13 stripes, 50
stars and readily identifiable colors.  What if
someone figured that 15 stripes would look better or
if the flag had more or less stars or if they decided
the blue was too dark.  The National Anthem deserves
to be sung as written period.  It is a symbol not a
song open to interpretation.  Until we speak out that
symbol will continue to be a commercial entity open to
be sung or used as an individual deem fit.
