Rick,
For yourself, or anyone who is considering doing any track events, getting
an SA (rather than M) helmet is a good idea, as it is becoming a requirement
for many tracks & events.
One of the cheaper (if not the cheapest) one out there is the G-Force open
face. Here is one vendor that offers them (scroll down the page):

Thanks Ron,
I have been looking at helmets, this is very useful information.
BTW, I would consider this post far more ON TOPIC than alot of the recent
list activity.

Here's the content of a couple of posts that deal with helmets and airbags.
First is from the SCCA, and I have cut-n-pasted the second, which was from a
Ford release that someone posted.

Before you buy that helmet yet, there has been a firestorm on various Solo
2/autocross/rally list. Yesterday, the SCCA released the following
information. It is not final, but would certainly be relevant to your
purchases.
http://scca.org/_Filelibrary/File/AirbagAdvisory.pdf
In addition to what you mentioned they also are looking at this
information:
NOTE THIS IS NOT SCCA INFORMATION NOR SCCA DIRECTIVE, BUT INFO
FROM FORD.
Something from Ford that SCCA might find interesting.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, PLEASE CEASE USE OF FULL FACED
HELMETS IN VEHICLES WITH LIVE STEERING WHEEL AIRBAGS.
It was brought up at the recent International Committee for
Proving Ground Safety that several companies do not allow use of
full face helmets in vehicles with (driver-side) airbags,
due to the risk of severe neck injury for the airbag impacting the
bottom of the full-faced helmet. Full-faced helmets are, of
course, allowed in vehicles without airbags or in vehicles with
de-activated airbags.
