Don't recall ever seeing a backspacing measurement for any SHO rims. If you
have the '96 brake upgrade, be aware that there are some 16" rims that may
not clear the caliper.

Subject: winter wheels rim questions
Found a deal on some 16in snows mounted on a 5 lug * 4.25in set of rims.
Price is reasonable, but I'm wondering if they'll fit. Is backspacing the
same as the offset to the rim? What is the preferred backspacing for a SHO
suitible rim, and Isn't the offset range like 35-45mm for use on a Taurus?
