If you have not obtained the CD that Mark made of the 2004 San Francisco Convention,
you are really missing something good. It comes across as professional as any
documentary I've seen on TV. It would be right at home on Spike TV, either on Car
and Driver, or any other car specific show. It would also fit on our local network
early evening TV shows that take trips around the area showing off our attractions,
like "Bay Area Backroads" on CBS after the evening news.
This program is almost as good as being there, and is an excellent advertisement for
any of our conventions. He starts out heading from the east coast and documents
some of the adventures out on the highway along the way. Then there's the CarSHO,
with some of the really snazzy cars that were top finishers. Then, a trip, or three
or four, around Thunderhill, from the prairie dog's eye view. There's some scenes
and discussion from the Wine Country tour. It also has some extra features, as does
any well made DVD, talking about the next potential SHO, and has scenes from the
other previous conventions, too. The music he uses as a background for all the
sections is totally appropriate. This guy will win an Emmy sometime in his future.
To top it off, you get to see me sitting in a chair (thankfully, just for a few
seconds), yakking away, with my head wobbling around like a bobble-head doll. Mark,
I sure wish you had let me see that proof before you inserted it into the finished
product!! LOL!! It looked as if I had about 18 facial flinches going off all at
the same time! I hope those of you who know me don't think I'm that way ALL the
time!! (At least I HOPE I'm not that way all the time!)
But that's what they make fast-forward for.
You all need to get a copy from Mark before they are all gone. It's a perfect gift
for someone with a SHO that hasn't yet been to a convention. It would also be very
useful for showing friends and family why we are all nuts about our cars. It is the
best way I can think of to explain to them why we don't answer our phones or show up
for work.
Now I'm really depressed about my upcoming suspension video.....there ain't no way I
can make it look anywhere as good as Marks 12th convention video.
Yo Mark....wanna come spend President's day in February with me???!!! Don't forget
your digital camcorder!!! We can go to the ocean in-between takes....or maybe to
the PnP!!
Thanks, Mark!!
