There's nothing wrong with calling a cd an "album", as it's still a collection of songs. "Album" does NOT mean vinyl.
No flames intended, but it irks me when people correct me when I call a cd an "album".

Hmmmm. I also find I'm buying less new music. I hope it doesn't get
worse. Music has always been right-side of the brain therapy for me,
especially when I'm driving solo. Looking forward to getting the new Mark
Knopfler album (oops, CD).
