[Shotimes] Electrified Rearview Mirrors - What For?

Alan,
Inside mirrors now have automatic dimming and many,
especially GM, have a compass built in.
Once you have a car with auto dimming, you won't want to go
back to the old flip switch type. NEver need to re-set your
mirror because it moved, you can see MORE out the back than
ever before. The compass is just a nice featuer. GM cars
with OnStar also have several buttons for that feature, most
important an emergeny call feature to get help.
These almost never break, and can be had pretty cheap from
junkyards and with the exception of the OnStar models, just
need a power wire.
GREAT feature, the SHO should have had it for such a high
dollar car.
