Hi

http://www.cloud9grafx.com/fordsho/images/Ian/MAF/

I purchased this recently but have decided not to
install it as I have a Pro-M 80mm MAF. Otherwise, this
is a great piece. Does not require an LPM to run.

This is an earlier version of the 77. Basically this
means that the filter is a K&N which should be
available through anyone who sells K&N filters. (P/N#
is on the filter base) The newer 77 and 80mm Pro-M's
use a specific Pro-M filter which is more expensive.
This earlier K&N style filter attaches using springs.
It looks odd but seems effective.

Now, I have not tested this unit. I have no reason to
believe that it wouldn't work. All I did was clean it
up after receiving it from the previous owner. I would
personally buy a new filter but this one seems usable
and may show some nice results using a K&N filter
cleaner kit. Please note that the the MAF sensor's
electrical clip shroud is broken off in one spot but I
don't think that this would cause a problem as the
car's harness connector slips over this piece and
should seal it up. The other issue is the dryer style
tubing that Pro-M tries to pass off as intake hose.
Every one of these tends to rub on the MTX engine roll
dampener bracket and this one also seems worn in that
spot. I'd recommend replacing the tube with a rubber
elbow from Home Depot or another hardware store.

This is an aluminum bodied MAF, not polycarbonate like
the newer ones. According to Pro-M's site, a new one
is $435. I know that some places probably sell them
cheaper but I didn't look too far. The MAF came with
the ambient air temp sensor screwed into it (a nice
feature of the Pro-M's is that they don't keep the
sensor dangling when not using the stock airbox) so
it'll be included.

Pictures of the MAF can be seen at:

Please note that my arm is not included in the sale.
:)

I am asking $169.99 or best offer. I expect shipping
to be around $10-15. No offer is too low-it just may
not be acceptable. ;) In other words, I won't feel
insulted if asked to sell it for a lower price. I
don't expect to get $169.99 but hey, if I do.. :)

I hope that I described this as accurately as
possible. Please look at the pictures and ask any
questions that you may have. Obviously I cannot
guarantee this part so there is no warranty expressed
or implied..

Thanks
Ian

PS, $170 sounded like so much more than $169.99. I
couldn't resist. :)
