Carter,
Glad you didn't have any major problems and got the wheel
tight before it caused a real problem.
Yes, you were probably right to not stop in E. St.Louis,
some areas can be REAL bad.
My brother-in Law once was driving a semi through the area,
got lost and wound up deep into E. St. Louis. Finally he
saw and stopped a cop who advised him to turn around and run
stop lights till he got out of the area, implying that the
truck could be overrun if he stopped at the wrong
intersection (lot of guns were evident on the streets also!)
Only thing that might have saved him is he was driving a
propane truck. Generally people can't steal propane and it
isn't a good idea to shoot at propane tanks! :)
Jan and I were glad you stopped by, it was great that we
could have the meeting at the same time as your visit!
