Didn't have the front cable replaced, it supposedly was ok, but I
wouldn't think that would keep the calipers from releasing.  I would
think they would release and then the front cable would just bunch
up.  But then there would probably be troubles with the pedal, which
I don't have.  Worth a look though.  If I ever get around to it I'll
check it out.
