There was a CTS-V at the last track day a few weeks ago, in my group for the
last part of sun (after they combined groups). Nice ride. Not quite as
good in the corners as I thought it would be, but it was fast down the
straights. Like a big 4 door cruise missile (sounds good!)

The base C6 is almost as fast as the old C5 Z06, C6 Z06 looks to be an
animal although the price tag looks to take a pretty steep jump.

Currently in the used car market, the 02/03 era Z06's are the absolute best
bang for the buck, bar none. Spend $3k on a used one on some real brakes
and a few other do-dads, and it'll hold it's own on any track with just
about anything at any price level. The interior is iffy for that $$/class
of car, but who's looking down at your interior through turn 10 at 120 mph?
Great car...hope to own one someday (used 02-04). They are getting cheaper
by the day, and you can actually still buy replacement parts for them <g>
