Besides being gimmicky, those plugs would seem to have a benefit in OHV
engines with compromised combustion chambers, for folks who don't index
their plugs in OHV engines. In central-plug OHC engines, the "shrouding"
problem is virtually nonexistent.

Some people did a few years back and found that they
do not work well with the SHO. If you stick with an
ISO spec plug like a Denso or Motorcraft, you should
be fine. For the price, I recommend Ford Motorcraft
plugs (not direct from Ford though!) and Accel or
taylor plug wires. The AC Delco wire set that RCM Auto
sells looks nice too. IIRC it's less than $50..
