[Shotimes] glue and amperage for LED tail lamps

(I hope) I am nearing the end of my 3-way sequential LED project. I figured
out how to cram three 4'' round LED arrays into Gen2 tail housings. You can
check out an 18 KB photo at http://tinyurl.com/3vhln. Two questions:

1. Soon I'll need to glue the red lenses back onto the housings. What sort
of glue or adhesive caulk shall I use? The factory stuff softened when
warm, and looked like it might be hot-melt glue. Is there anything else
that might work to both bond and seal the parts?

2. The LED arrays I'm using are Grote, model G4002 I think. Each array is
supposed to consume 1/2 an amp when braking or turning. How does 1.5 amps
per side compare with the stock pair of 3157 bulbs? I am wondering if the
stock circuitry can handle this load or if I'm going to need to provide
something beefier to power these lamps.

TIA for any advice.
