You can be confident in telling them that. You might take a look underneath it and
see what portion of the engine the drips seems to be coming from. The pan can leak,
the front seal can leak, the heads can leak from various locations, and the oil
pressure sender and oil level sender can leak. The rear seal can leak, too...that
comes from the area where the engine connects to the transmission. The whole thing
(tranny) has to come out to fix that. The others can be fixed by removing the
offending part, and replacing gaskets or seals. Sometimes this is easy....sometimes
it isn't.
Theoretically you have a mileage limitation on your warranty. As long as the
mileage on the engine is less than that amount, you are in good shape. The only
drips they wouldn't be responsible for is oil that you spill when you fill it up.
