[Shotimes] Remote entry on 91's?

No. Easy to tell if the car is equipped with this. The control module in
the trunk (on the drivers side) must have an antenna wire connected to it.
The RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) which has a key fob was introduced on the
1993 Taurus. You would need to add the RKE module that has an input for a
radio antenna connection. I don't know if the wiring harness plugs are the
same as on the 1992 model? You will then need to run the antenna wire from
the trunk mounted RKE box to ? The shop manual just says that the RKE
antenna is part of the wire harness and when installing a new antenna, leave
the old one in place and tape the new antenna to the existing wire harness.
I guess it does NOT attach to the radio antenna? I have not taken this
apart before so don't know how long the antenna wire is? This option also
gets you the battery saver feature. It shuts off the courtesy lights
(Hood,trunk, interior lights,glove box) that were left on after 45 minutes
or so to prevent battery drain down. I find this very handy!!
