[Shotimes] Moonroof switch headache!

The switch cover (the interior colored piece) has broken on one side
where it attaches to the switch. I am gathering that the switch is only
available as an assembly vs being able to buy the failure prone plastic
piece. I was able to get the roof closed by pressing both of the little
switches on the assembly in the same direction. For that matter, I'm
wondering if JB Weld or superglue would create a strong enough bond to
attach the switch cover to the switch successfully and fix the problem.
Before I try that, can anyone tell me if the ridged part of the switch goes
toward the windshield or the moonroof? When I took it off I forgot to note
its direction!
