The story said he hit near turn 6.  he could have lost it big time 
coming into 5 and just wound up near 6.  There is a huge straight right 
before 5 so he would have lots of speed and need to scrub it off going 
into 5.  Don't know for sure, but that looks like it could be a possibility.

Stories like THAT are why I never relax till the last car is off the 
track on a track day.  Also why I might get a little hyper if someone 
misbehaves and doesn't listen. (didn't have that problem this year that 
I know of).
