Yes. This is TV. I'm sure that Discovery pays them a BUNCH for the
disruption of their regular business for the TV show.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the 'we only have 3 weeks to do this bike"
is really a 6-month process.....edited down for TV.

My girlfriend and I will watch American Chopper when
we can catch it together. She's not even into cars or
bikes but she enjoys watching the interactions between
the Teutels. But now she's beggining to question how
many times they can possibly start working on a new
bike 30 seconds before they are supposed to present it
halfway across the country? I've gotten the feeling
that a lot of the drama and tension is artificial. But
it's still entertaining for the most part!
