[Shotimes] Pimp My Ride

Both the Taurus and Sable front ends (headlights, parking lights and grills)
changed starting with the 89 MY. The Sable changes were much more
noticeable (the center light bar change was pretty dramatic). Both were
changed to be more aerodynamic. It's hard to explain the Taurus changes.
You'd have to see them together to tell the differences.

???? Explain the difference between an '86-'88 SLO grill and the '89
SHO/SLO?? Unless I missed something, nothing changed on the Gen 1.

AFAIK the only color that SHOs had that was not a regular SLO color was the
green on the late-'91 Plus cars....and I'm not even sure about that. Black
was always common to SLOs.

The car is 16 years old....and has had ???? owners. Nothing would surprise
my on an '89 SLO.

Did anyone catch the inconsistancies? Only a SHO nerd would catch them:

1) A black 89 taurus? - I thought only 89 SHOs were black. When she flips
the hood up, you can see the repaint.

2) The car was in a minor front end collision, so the grill was replaced
with an 86-88 Taurus grill.

3) When Xibit (or whatever his name is) talks about the Taurus, he say it
was ahead of it's time when it was introduced in 1989. He meant to say
1986.

Anything else?

My son (6) and I like that show, but they only spend about 2 minutes on the
tear down & rebuild. I also wonder how long the cars last on the road
afterwords. At least my son can use "pimp" in a sentence now!
