[Shotimes] Just Brainstorming About A SHO Replacement

I had the V8 version (540) with about 110,000 miles on it. Most 5
series have known issues such as digital dash displays going hinky, but
you can live with that. suspensions can wear and be VERY expensive to
fix, thus so many 5 series going down the road with more negative camber
in the rear than a 300,000 mile '89 SHO! Watch out for problems with
the radio, again, the electronics in the cabin can be fragile. Don't
know if cat converters on the 6 go south like on the V8, but check them
for rattles, and expect a nice bill to replace them if they do.

The previous 5 series is a beautiful car that drives very nice. I was
glad to own one for a short while, but didn't cry when I sold it to keep
my '96 SHO and buy a 300C.

Get on some BMW forums and start looking around the for mechanical
things that will need fixing at the age of this car.
