Actually, I may have made that up/imagined it. She
raced in England for Vauxhall but I thought that she
also spent part of childhood there as well. I looked
up a few of her bios and it seems that she didn't
start racing for Vauxhall until 1998 when she was
16ish. (So apparently I'm already creating false
memories)

She lives in AZ now. When you move around like that
your accent tends to incorporate much of where you've
lived. I'll have to pay more attention the next time I
hear her on TV.
