And you will  need to see how many amps the dome light and other interior
lights are using so this can be discounted.  Unless you can do this with the
door shut.  Or you could pull that fuse first.

  Be sure when you are done to move the leads back to the +voltage post on

  meter.  Otherwise next time you use it to check volts you will blow the
fuse.

    The best way is disconnect the ground and put the meter in line with the
  battery and the cable.  Then switch the meter to amps.  Watch the amperage
and
  start pulling out fuses.  You should have under a 50mA (.050A) discharge as
  normal.

    When the amps drop down write the fuse number down so you can analyze the
  circuit.

      My 92 has a brand new alternator and battery.  Now the voltmeter reads
  14V
      right away on engine start (was caused by bad voltage regulator).  The
      battery read only 6V when Sears tested it, so they replaced it.

      The new battery is dead after the car sat a few days.  It appears
there's

      drain somewhere in the electrical system.  What's the procedure for
  tracking
      it down?  Thanks.
