"Wow.  Apparently, Oak Ridge TN has just 28K residents (epodunk.com)  but 
collects $6.3M per year on traffic tickets.  That's $225 per capita,  but I bet 
those tickets aren't going to residents."
 
Can't tell whether the driver was a resident, but with a ticket for 67  in a 
45 she got a $30 fine which was knocked down to a whopping $15 by the  appeals 
court.   Around here, you'll be eating pork'n'beans for  the rest of the 
month to pay the fine for that kind of infraction.  The Oak  Ridge cops may be 
busy but it doesn't sound like they have all the judges in  their hip pocket.
