I would suspect the battery myself. The dash lights are the key tip-off. A 
bad CPS won't effect them. I have had weird EATC and stereo problems as well 
as engine troubles from a low voltage condition. I would follow Ron's advice 
first

Why can we rule out electrical? How old is the battery?
