[Shotimes] Blend door problem

The blend door actuator motor in my '95 is going, I fear.  Repetetive 
snapping, thumping noises coming from the nether regions. I know I'll have 
to replace the motor at some point, but...since I'll only be needing it in 
the full heat position for the next couple of months, I'm wondering if it 
would be possible to 1) find, and 2) disconnect, the electrical cable going 
to the blend door motor, so the door just stays in the hot position. Has 
anyone done this?
