Charlie,
WELCOME! As the new blood you are required to do a spark plug change on
at least a half dozen old guys SHO's as initiation fee......or was that
what we do to people that try to leave the list?
Whatever, glad you are here. :)
Yea, the SHO universe is shrinking but new folks like you also keep
taking up some of the slack, and the cars, old as they are, still are
entertaining and making new friends and converts.
Some of us have been around the on-line SHO community since 1991 or
earlier (I bought mine and joined the original SHO Registry in late
1991, almost a charter member!) I still have my first SHO, now becoming
my race car, and have added a low mile '91 as a "stocker" and a '96 as
my daily driver. I also run the continuation of the SHO Registry called
the SHO Club. http://www.shoclub.com and put on the national
convention.
Hope you can make the convention and also get involved with any club
that might be in your area. There used to be a large club in the
Mineapolis area based out of Courtney Truck Service in Eden Prairie MN.
We don't have an organized club listed there right now, but that doesn't
mean you can't start one. Visit SHO LINKS on SHOclub.com to see a list
of current clubs or people wanting to start one.
Yea, a SHO parts car is becoming a good thing for those that are allowed
to have one (local laws frown on "parts cars" and we need to take over
all local/state government so we can get those laws stopped! Parts cars
can be pretty, just plant a few bushes and flowers! :)
Again, welcome.

LOL Just joined the list today I've been a SHO owner for about a year and have been on the shoforum for about that time and got to thinking "hey, I bet there is a mailing list for this" and here I am. Actually I'm on my 4th SHO in the last year 93 MTX tranny broke currently sitting in a buddies garage, 93 ATX that I bought to save from the junkyard and resold, 94 ATX parts car that I still have, and a 94 ATX that I'm currently driving. I look forward to being on the list here and hope to learn more and maybe help ot some people!
