My car has been owned by Bill Murray.  I am currently taking open bids. ;)
Unless the dealer has a signed picture of Paul Kantner with the car, I
wouldn't pay any extra, if I was a Paul Kantner fan to begin with.

Well, that comes down to the definition of "owner". Guess I don't see it as
being much different than someone having a dealer sell a car on consignment.
To me, "no title = no ownership". Frankly I had thought of not doing a title
transfer on my brother's Fiero GT so that it could stay "one owner", but in
havig to get Comprehensive insurance in two different states over the past
eight years, it was easier to transfer (and it's still a "two owner, one
family" car).

Personally, cases that "really" stretch this is when someone is selling a
never-titled car with an MSO. Sure, a brand-new car at the dealer will be
this way, but there have been cars that are tw0-three model years old, maybe
have 1,000-1500 miles on them, and are still on the MSO (so that you can be
the "first owner"). Of course, someone has been driving around with a Dealer
plate and/or an "In-Transit/Repair" plate for the last year or two!!

I used to see a fair number of these in the AutoWeek classifieds, but they
don't show up there as often anymore.

Personally I call it a "stretch" to call Paul Kantner a "celebrity"!!  ;-)

wow, whydon't they have this car in the Barrett-Jackson auction!  :)  It 
should bring almost as much as Ozzie Nelson's station wagon.

I hate how people say it has only had one owner when the SECOND owner is 
placing the ad.  I don't care that a dealer doesn't have to run the 
title through, the car is now owned by someone else, it is a TWO owner 
car.  ONLY the original owner can say a car is a one owner car.

One of my pet peeves.

Wonder what the reserve is?
