I killed the original post, but.....

Alternator??

Mine did that for awhile, until the sound got to be really bad just before I
changed it. The rear bearing was log-gone.

Could also be the idler bearing(s).

No... nose is audible at a complete stop when bliping
the engine revs. Idle low pitched... raise revs...
pitch gets higher like siren.
