[Shotimes] Manual BDA operation?

Long story short, I replaced my BDA yesterday.

Although the gears in the old one were shot, the new
one makes no movement whatsoever.  I tested the motor
wires and found that there is no voltage coming to the
BDA motor, so I'm now suspecting that something in my
ETAC operation is shot.

Question is, can I clip the wires for the BDA motor
from the back of the ETAC and run a 2 way switch to
operate the BDA manually, for the time being?
