I am tired of hearing how great his Subaru is, or rather, how great HE
thinks it is.

Someone said it best in an earlier post - "Your Subaru is 16 years newer
than the 1989 Taurus SHO - so it SHOULD be better!!!"

Better, but not by much.  Sixteen years should have produced a car that is a
quantum leap better than the 89 SHO - but it's not!!!

250-hp vs 220-hp....30-hp?!?!?  I would expect alot more in 16 years time.

Boxer vs V-6....Boxer?!?!?!?  When (and if) F1, Indy, and dare I say
Nascrap, start using boxers - you can brag.

Brakes....well, you've got the SHO beat there.... 12"/11" vs 11"/10"....but
not by much.

215/45-17 vs 215/60-16....215s on 17s?!?!?  Big f'n deal.  My Grand Cherokee
has 265s.

You posted your 1/4 mile times and they were only marginally better than a
16 year old SHO.

Can't wait to see the repair bill when that transfer case or the
turbocharger takes a dump.

The same person, I think, also said "Comparing your Subaru to the 16-yr old
SHO is like comparing the 1989 SHO to a 1973 sedan.

I'll bet you your Subaru that my 91 SHO will out handle, out accelerate, and
out brake a 1975 4-door American sedan (and of course ANY 1975 Japanese
sedan) by a VERY VERY VERY LARGE MARGIN.  My 91 SHO  also has phenomenally
better fit & finish, durability, and reliability than any 1975 4-door sedan.

The difference between a 91 SHO and a 1975 Ford LTD II is EXTRAORDINARY.
The difference between a 91 SHO and a 1975 Honda Civic is EXTRAORDINARY.
Yet, the difference between your Subaru and the 16-year old SHO is only
MARGINAL.

When the SHO debuted in 89 it was head and shoulders above everything in its
class.  Your Subaru is nothing more than another run of the mill Japanese
sedan.

I am tired of hearing how great YOU think your Subaru is.  "Average" and
"marginal" is hardly something to brag about.
