Coincidently I'm going through the same thing at this
moment.
For the first time I really inspected the drivers seat
on my 95 MTX, mocha leather. They have a well aged
look like an old flight
jacket, and I decided that new leather would look
really odd
in this 11 year old car. My bolster is showing foam
it's so
worn. I also noticed that the seat bottom is so worn
that you sink to springs. I had a specialist seat
builder look at it
and he will recover bolster only, per my request, with
new mocha leather, and rebuild bottom with new foam.
He said it will take
most of the day as the seat has to come out and all
apart.
His quote was $250 and I said OK. Have'nt brought it
in yet.
But with a rebuilt seat bottom and a new moch leather
bolster,
I figure that's good for the 5-10 more years I plan to
keep this SHO. Car only has 88,000 miles on her so she
has a good 10 years left in her.
