This is the beginning of an understanding why those union contracts didn't
get them as much security as they thought they were getting.
Of course, there are different ways that folks define "security". The UAW
will again make the old statement true, which is "UAW = U Ain't Workin'"

Dang, What did I go and get that engineering degree for? I can drive a
hi-lo and make almost twice my current salary.

Before getting into the article, I assumed that it would be about skilled
trades or engineers. No!! They interviewed a hi-lo operator (one of the
$100k-year-with-OT-guys....by his own admission), who said that it would
take at least 6 months for someone to learn his job.
