FYI, The SHO had an eleven year run, and production was right at 120,000.
As I have stated, Ron and I aren't arguing about "would the SHO have
sold more if it was priced cheaper". That is a given. ANYTHING priced
cheaper sells better. We aren't talking about that, or at least I am
trying to not talk about it, but it appears to be a concept that is
tough for some to get a thought around! :)
The point is it wasn't priced super high for a special edition,
especially if you look at things like the "M" cars from BMW and other
special editions. Pricing at the time was high for a "Taurus" but it
was much more than a Taurus, and still is. It was priced right with a
high option Crown Vic, a car certainly not generally accused of being a
super luxury car priced out of sight. IT was MANY thousands less than
the standard 3 series BMW.
