Barry,
The history of your on-line name is a riot. My son is an IT tech and I
will pass that along to him, he will enjoy that.
As far as SHO events, I try to list SHO events that I know of on the
SHOclub.com events listing. Also there is a pretty good section on
clubs/events on SHOforum.com.
We have had 14 National conventions now, and you can read about them on
SHOclub.com.
2006 is in Memphis TN. 2007 is tentatively slated for somewhere along
the east coast and 2008 has been settled on for Seattle Washington.
Talk about going coast to coast! Some people will have whiplash, but
driving these cars is what it is all about, and they excell on long trips.
There are good regional events (drives, autocross, drags, shows etc)
quite often across the country. You should be able to find something to
go to. If not something SHO specific, then take your SHO to the local
cruise-in, or car show. I find all-Ford shows fun to go to, and most
good ones will have a couple SHO's for you to park near. Don't be
afraid that because the car is somewhat modern and a four-door that you
won't be welcome or have fun at a local cruise or show. Heck if they
can take modern stuff like the new GTO, a Camaro or Firebird from the
recent past, why not your SHO. Most open events would welcome your
participation.
