Hmm, if that's it, then it's flowing down a channel somewhere to start dropping on the cat.  Wouldn't surprise me with this motor....(I'm not being disparaging, Don...) :)

If you look down from the drivers side of the car looking over the master
cylinder, it basically would be facing the firewall approximately where the
accelerator pedal would be. It's basically a 3/4" nut looking thing with a
wire sticking out of it. This is a known failure point.

Yes, it's not power steering fluid.  I replaced the power steering pump
about
a year ago.  And had my hands down and around it last night.  I checked
around
the cam sensor as well, but didn't find anything.  This weekend I'll check
both those areas more closely.  With the light I had, I didn't see oil
anywhere from the top; from underneath I couldn't see where it was coming
from, but I could watch it dropping on the cat.  Very frustrating....
