You are correct.  But don't sue me for saying so, YMMV, etc.
  
  With full pressure to the rear, and no ABS, under certain  circumstances, the tail will come around on you.  If you put in  adjustable valves, and adjust them correctly, you can fix that  problem.  Just like the old days, ya' know, the 1970s.

   What about us '89 guys?  Since I'd be getting full braking in the rear, won't I end up locking the rears rather easily?
  I'd think that, for us non-ABS folks, an adjustable proportioning valve  in place of the factory load valve would be better, as I'd be able to  dial in the right balance. Am I wrong here?
